This is my first attempt at creating a blog for special friends and family so if it totally sucks, sorry, perhaps you can give me a few tips?
Alaina and I were discussing New Years Resolutions and as cliche as it may be, we both would like to live a healthier lifestyle in 2012. And yes, that does encompass losing the extra pounds we have gained. This being said, even though Alaina and I are by no means "overweight" and even though we both feel the other looks gorgeous no matter what, neither of us are happy with ourselves. So we've decided we should create a blog where we can both track our progress in our goal to essentially feel GREAT about ourselves!
I invite you to comment and share your own successes and maybe we can all start a challenge.
You don't have to join and I know that many of you don't even believe in New Years Resolutions....but Alaina and I would love the support!;)
Just keep telling us "You Can Do It!"
I'm 100% game Sheila! Also, I'm a Blogger pro, so if you need help with anything, I'm all over it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, you CAN do it!
Yay! Dorothy you're the bomb diggity! My first mission the day after I get back to Ohio- Buy a Juicer!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! I'm in! :) Love you girls!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great idea and I'm actually doing the same, now that I know two of the coolest girls I've ever met are doing it too I couldn't be happier!
ReplyDeleteI find it helps me is to plan things out. Have healthy snacks and meals readily available throughout the day. This sounds obvious but I know I always go off the rails when I let myself get hungry with no easy, healthy alternatives nearby.
Sheila, you are fantastic and the enthusiasm you show for your resolution is great. Just keep that enthusiasm growing!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I tell everyone is to make SMART goals! If you have never heard of this, google it. IT is so important that your goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and tangible. Start small and reward yourself with something other than food. The second and most important is make your goal known! Tell the world (like this blog), post it on your fridge, set it on your phone as a daily reminder. Others will hold you accountable and so will you. The loseit app helps because it is a social network of people working towards goals they set and share. Your goal progress and daily activities/food are posted for your friends to see and you to evaluate over time. It is very helpful in seeing patterns and how food affects your weight.
I am very excited for you and can't wait to hear about your progress. Remember, focus on making a better version of yourself and not a version of someone else. :-)
